Nigeria when ?

NO SON CELEBRATES A WAYWARD FATHER

No father celebrates a wayward son.

And I believe no son celebrates a wayward father.

It is mutual, and never consensual.

In the Bible, the book of love, God sternly put forward the Parable of the Lost Sheep to advance this.

Wait, it's possible.

It is only a wayward father that celebrates a way ward son.

That's more appropriate, I guess.

Well, a large body of people who celebrate Nigeria today, do not celebrate Nigeria.

They instead celebrate their being beneficiaries of the rent state, and it's iniquities.

Much so, some who do, also celebrate the beauty of their fulfillment, being part of the few that succeeded Nigeria's tough terrain.

There are also those who by choice, celebrate Nigeria' new age despite the country's turbulent fate because they simply want to swim along the tide faithfully.

Indeed no one in this country celebrates her truly.

No one is patriotic enough.

The soldier at the battle front, fight not for Nigeria, but for his own life.

The oath he swore to and to the vow he had made remains the teethers that keeps his boot on the ground.

Give him the freedom of choice and thought; and he would go AWOL.

I have learnt not to criticise those who condemn Nigeria.

They have reasons to.

Nigeria isn't a dream, but a nightmare.

Nightmare ain't pleasant.

No right pathing country has it's citizens willfully exiting in droves for the purpose of a second passport.

Then discuss her failures, abuse her and rebuke her existence.

Nigeria.

The depth of the country's unbecoming, the dearth of infrastructure, the death of justice, and the dire strain aligning incompetence across all sector makes one shudder.

It's persistent for the worse makes one ponder.

One who beats a child repeatedly and ask her not to cry, may pass as a credulous swindler of emotions.

Don't sugar coat it.

Nigeria is not breathing, incase if it ever did.

The POFRON and those who he lead knows it.

Living in Nigeria does not evoke happiness.

Everything is a struggle.

At every turn is chaos.

Joy is momentarily wiped away in one flash of wave.

If you doubt, fall sick to a serious aliment.

Reality may begin from that point when those whom you never met begins to crowdfund for you to be alive.

Nigerians love Nigeria not because she is a good lover.

Not even because they show great patriotism.

Not any of those.

They do because, they have no other country to lay claim.

They are proud of Nigeria not because Nigeria is a country to be proud of.

But because it's generational struggling group, continues to strive etching landmark achievements and edging towards one of the most successful country groups in the world.

For the unbelievable achieving diapsorans whom Nigeria steadily celebrates, it's all their bits and cuts.

And for the scores of thriving locals; excelling Nigeria based enterpreneurs, local now international entertainers, and sportsmen and women; it's all their fate and faith.

It was never about Nigeria.

On excelling, they chose to love Nigeria, so that Nigeria may love them back.

But has she?
